January 2025 update

Happy New Year to all our loyal Customers!

We hope you have all enjoyed a joyous festive season (and were not afflicted with any of the nasty viruses going around …)

As the year turns anew, your Village Store is here for you and all your needs whether that may be stocking up with the essentials, bread, milk, cheese, fruit or veg or maybe popping in for a coffee and slice of cake with friends. Speaking of whom, do tell all your friends near and far to come and pay us a visit, we always welcome new customers! Walkers, cyclists or local villagers, everyone will be greeted with a friendly smile.

Is anyone doing “Dry January”? We have some tempting non-alcoholic alternatives, come and see what we offer. If that’s not for you, we are still stocking wines from Oxford Wines and local beers and ciders too.

Plans are afoot to offer our breads minus the plastic wrapping so that you can take the bread fresh from the shop, as it comes to us, or in a paper bag. The prices will be listed on the side of the basket.

The Ewelme Store oil syndicate, ably managed by Sarah Maine for many years (thank you Sarah) will now be run by Nicky Hickman who has kindly stepped up to offer her services. You will in future, be receiving delivery news and dates etc from Nicky. We are all very grateful to her. Any queries, please contact the shop.

Meantime, the team are busy making hot soups, fresh roll fillings, cooking up bacon for the ever-popular baps (not forgetting the egg, bacon and sausage breakfasts) and generally making sure no-one will leave our store feeling anything less than thoroughly warmed-through in this bitterly cold weather!

We look forward to welcoming you in 2025!
