“I have really enjoyed meeting such a wide range of people and being part of the success of our community shop.” says Sally Fehr, Volunteer at Ewelme Village Store.

Most Benson residents will know that Ewelme has a thriving village  store, which is overseen by a committee and run by daily managers with the support of volunteers who work shifts of about two hours on one or two days a week, except on Saturdays and Sunday morning, when we employ young people from the locality.

Some of our volunteers have had to give up their time with us, due to changes in family circumstances or other demands on their time, and we now need to find more volunteers to help in the Store and in serving tea, coffee and snacks.  Ewelme is a very friendly village and interaction with our customers is rewarding and enjoyable.

Training is given in all areas and support is constantly available.  The work is not physically demanding and most of what we require is covered by common sense and life experience.

We should be delighted to hear from anyone who has some time to spare and would enjoy being part of our friendly team.  Please call Ewelme Village Store on 01491 834467 or email manager@ewelmevillagestore.co.uk if you are interested in volunteering with us.
